Annie: What's for dinner?
Me: Chicken Bake
Annie: What's chicken bake?
Me: Spaghetti with chicken and cheese.
Annie: Oh.... are you sure it's not lasagna?
(5 minutes later)
Annie: I think I got a little chicken popeye in here.
(Hmm... are you sure it's not chicken pot pie? And also, I'm pretty sure you did not.)

THE WEDDING
I know I always have some reason for why I haven't updated this thing but as you all know we recently got married and I think that's a pretty good excuse for being busy. I finally have a minute (even if I am at work while I'm doing this) and figured I would get things rolling. Anyway, I wasn't going to post a bunch of pictures but everyone has been asking so here you go. This is only about 1% off the overall pictures taken by our photographers, and probably doesn't even come close to what was actually taken by everyone else at the wedding. If you want something else you don't see here, let me know and I'll try to get it up. Or if you have some good ones then send them my way and I can add to my collection.
As far as the wedding goes, it was a blast! First off, we actually ended the night being married, so that was a definite positive. No major problems ensued - as far as I know, no one died, was injured, or was arrested. There were no fires or other life threatening catastrophes. As far as all of the regular stuff goes I think we had about 180 people show up. All of the vendors showed up on time and with all of the required equipment... with the exception of the DJ who did not have a wireless mic, but I guess I can take that if it's the only "hiccup" we ran into.
Our parents put in a ton of work the week (and summer actually) before the wedding getting everything ready. My mom's garden looked awesome! Dane and his dad built the bar (which is now in our house) and it worked out perfectly. My grandma made Annie and Beth's dresses and I couldn't have been happier with them. Mama P made the bouquets and they were beautiful - not bad for going to Horrocks two days before the wedding and picking out the best of what they had!
Anyway, that's the wedding in a nutshell. If these pictures tell the tale, I think it's safe to say everyone had a great time!

Holy Cow!
I can't believe it's been 6 months since I've updated this thing -- actually I can. I have been boycotting the crappy excuse for internet that we have at our house. We live approximately 2 miles away from "town". Apparently this is two far for high speed internet. We called over 10 vendors and none of them will service our house - IT MAKES NO SENSE!
Seriously, the thought of dial up makes me a little sick to my stomach - I can't even sit still through an entire 30 minute tv show that is supposed to be entertaining. How am I supposed to sit around for an eternity waiting for dial up to kick in?
Dane, in all his technological beauty, called up Verizon who sells a phone plan for cellular modems. This is slightly faster than dial up, but no where near DSL or cable. It was the best we could get - the really nice part is that we had to sign up for a two year plan, just like a regular phone. This is sure to lock us in for the next two years, even if someone finally wises up and services our road with high speed. Great.
So, back to my point. It takes approximately 12.5 years to upload any pictures or make changes to my blog so I just haven't done it. But, things change and I know you're all on the edge of your seats wanting to know what's new with us, so I decided to give this another shot. Here's the past year in a nutshell.
1) We bought a house in Williamston - YEAH!
2) Anna started school - Developmental Kindergarten
3) We're planning the wedding - it's coming along slowly but surely
4) Dane's new job is going well - everybody loves him, but I'm sure you're not surprised by that
5) Anna graduated DK!
6) Bella turns 6 years old this month!
7) We got a new puppy - she is now 12 weeks old.
8) I got a new job at the same company - way better!
All in all I guess things are going pretty well. We've come a long way in in a short time. When I think back about how just over two years ago Dane was still living in a crappy one bedroom that Anna used, while he slept in the living room, I still lived in Kalamazoo, and Dane still worked at Best BuyI can't believe how much different things are now - and for the better!
More developments to come soon!

We're back!!!
Yeah! We finally have the internet again. It's been a long 6 months. I never knew not having access to the internet could make a person feel so outcast from the world. Anyway, there's way too much to fill you in on since we fell off the face of the Earth, so here's a few snapshots of what you missed.

Packing
Okay, so despite the b
log 2 posts back, we didn't get the house I was talking about... we got an even better one!!!! I love how things work out sometimes. This new house has tons of room, 3 bedrooms and an acre of property! I love it.
So, with the new house comes packing. The word is we should be closing in the next 10 days (keep your fingers crossed, it's been a long time coming). We have started sorting through everything and deciding what to keep and what not to keep. So far I'm a little worried because our "keep" pile is
approximately 5 times larger than our "throw away" pile. We've got half of the basement and half of the den done... now if we could only get a whole room done we'd be in a little better shape. We're considering a garage sale... but we have to determine if we actually have enough junk to go through the effort.... time will tell.
